Ich bin nicht tot, okey.
DISCLAIMER: I NEED ANYBODY AND EVERYBODY TO STOP BEING SO SENSITIVE AND THINK I AM WRITING ABOUT THEM IN ANY OF MY POSTS SO FAR.
So here are my latest updates of the month:
- I’m applying for DAE to Republic Polytechnic since all of my JAE applications have been rejected. My results aren’t as bad as some others and YET they could still have the cheek to reject me, and not them.
SONOFABITCH!
>:( I’m so fucking pissed because of it. Damn system!
- I’ve written a new Get Backers one shot entitled Mission:Cycle which can be found here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4090971/1/Mission_Cycle/. It’s about Ban and Ginji, of course, my favourite characters who have to ride bicycles to complete their mission, and Ginji being Ginji, doesn’t know how to ride them. So Ban teaches him. Haha Ban and his fierce sensei complex. It doesn’t sound interesting here in my summary since I’m in a kind of a sour mood, but I urge you to go check it out and tell me what do you think.
- I’ve also been spending time reading crime/thriller novels for inspiration for chapter 16 of Blood of the Snake, found here, since I’ve never really written action and I want my first time writing it to be sufficient enough. Action is not my forté so I’m vying to improve my skills. My current book is Pulp Fiction. Love it so far.
- Brushing up my basic German language skills is also one of the things I’m currently doing. I’ve been watching more German language programmes to find out how to pronounce certain German words, so I hope it’s getting better. I need a teacher in this language as well.
- I’ve also made a new email account at Yahoo – it is rtrlctrc@yahoo.com – and if you have to know, I have 2 email accounts currently in use, which is anti-avril@hotmail.com and the former one I just typed about. If any of you have any of my older emails like the gmail and hotmail ones, just delete it from your list. I’m not using them anymore. Much appreciated.
That’s all for now folks, kiddies, vampires and bananas – this post is just intended to show that I’m still alive and well.
Auf Weidersehen~
Being in the process of writing chapter 15 of Blood of the Snake, my mind suddenly starts to wander off on its own, and I start to worry whether my OC Cadmus Baptiste is showing the signs of becoming a Mary Sue or Gary Stu or whatever the fuck you want to call it.

Score Breakdown
Do I Know This Guy? 0
You Mean Plaid Is Out? 7
I’m Destined For What? 7
Can’t Complain 5
Spare the Rod and Spoil the Child 6

“Cadmus Baptiste is nothing like you. He isn’t really very cool: he blends into crowds, he hangs out on the fringes at parties, and wearing shades after dark makes him run into things. He may have sometimes thought that he was special, or destined for greater things, but probably dismissed the idea as a fantasy. He’s come in for his share of hurt, but gotten off with minor damage. And you’ve been sparing with the free handouts: whatever he gains, he’s worked for.
In general, you care deeply about Cadmus Baptiste, but you’re smart enough to let him stand on his own, without burdening him with your personal fantasies or propping him up with idealization and over-dramatization. Cadmus Baptiste is a healthy character with a promising career ahead of him.”
Of course I am glad to know that he isn’t one of those – but I beg to differ with another point of the test results – Cadmus is indeed a vampire, so wearing shades does not affect his visibility and so on and so forth.
Anyway~
Then I stumble across the writings of certain (emphasize on this) authors who’ve written essays on avoiding and tackling Mary Sues. Some of them who actually think that they can write, and I can’t help but to point and laugh – these people attempt to advise budding writers to avoid writing this and that but fail drastically in my eyes.

Why bring Anne Rice up and call all of her characters Mary Sues? If I’m not wrong, her style of writing is considered Baroque, and this means that she goes into extensive detail to make her story come alive.
Moving on. Earlier during the day, I managed to peel myself from my home and go to the National Museum of Singapore for the Greek Masterpieces from the Louvre exhibition. I was simply awed at the display of the intricate statues and other pieces – if you’re a Greek myth buff like me, you should definitely go and catch it before the exhibit ends on 16 March.
What I noticed was that the statues of gods were much more beautiful than the statues of their goddesses, take for example – Ares, the god of war looked even more fantastic than the two Aphrodites on display.
There was also Asclepius, the demigod which symbolises Ban’s (of the Get Backers) constellation, Ophiuchus.
Here are several pictures, click on them to enlarge.

Last but not least -
I HAVE A DATE FOR
