For me, there is no school for today and tomorrow, since there is the Preliminary Science Practical Exam for those taking Pure Sciences and Biology. And since I take neither, I am not required to go to school! :D Awesome! Though, I still have to do the preparatory work for my Art Preliminary Paper and also revise for O Levels. No worries for me since I love drawing and Mathematics. I’ve rekindled an old passion for Mathematics! I love Maths! MUAH MUAH MATHS XXX MAD HUGGLES I LUBB YOU! Even though I score horribly at both Art and Maths. :(
Back on topic:
I’d finally gotten off my lazy arse and actually bought Massive Attack’s Mezzanine from HMV today! And the album was released 9 years ago FFS! Ever since I bought it from a few hours ago I’ve already listened to it TEN TIMES. O_O You can’t blame me though, this kind of music is just addictive — sexy and sensual etc. It’s well worth the money I spent for it.
First of all, here is the lovely album (squee) :

Sorry for blurriness lol.
Shiny and squeaky new album cover, bright orange compact disc and morbid artwork aside, here is the track list:
TRACKLIST
Angel
Risingson
Teardrop
Inertia Creeps
Exchange
Dissolved Girl
Man Next Door
Black Milk
Mezzanine
Group Four
Exchange (Reprise)
The album starts with a haunting melody from Angel. I cannot say much about this one, it is not really one of my favourites on this album, though you cannot deny this is a nice way to get into the atmosphere of the whole album. It is not some depressing music though, I can assure you that. I like to think of it as an experimental sound. Risingson, on the other hand is really brilliant. It is very sensual-sounding and the deeper voice, from Grant Marshall, does not fail to send my mind going to the gutter everytime he says ‘everytime we grind we know we severed lines’. I like Robert Del Naja’s voice very much as well.
Teardrop, accompanied by Elizabeth Fraser’s soothing vocals is really very nice, love at first listen. The next track, Inertia Creeps, shouldn’t be called Inertia Creeps, instead Inertia Chills, since it sends chills down my spine, in a good way mind you everytime I listen to it. Exchange sounds like a chill-out tune which you’d fancy having whilst having a relaxing bath or something like that. When that song ends, though, I always feel like I have to brace myself for the next track — Dissolved Girl. It is powerful, I love the strong, loud electric guitars in it and the way it is sung by Sara Jay is so sexy.
Then we have Man Next Door, I like the sound of this one, a little bit reggae-influenced. Horace Andy’s voice is very melodious. It is comical the way the vocals echo. But Black Milk is awesome, it makes me want to dance, and I don’t really like to dance. And Mezzanine, Mezzanine, it is eclectric! Everything is oozing with coolness on this tune. The voices are sexy, the beat is sexy, everything is sexy! I love the line “why don’t you close your eyes and reinvent me?” To me, it seems like Robert Del Naja is saying that to Grant Marshall. Hey, have I ever said how their voices complement each other’s very well? At first listen I thought Group Four and Mezzanine were a whole long track but it wasn’t. The music blends together really well. Then the album ends off slowly, with the Exchange (Reprise). It is perfect, the whole sound of it. Even though it is nearly a decade since the release of this album, it still sounds fresh and contemporary. You discover something new from the depths of the music everytime you listen to it!
EVERYONE should own this album. It is an exceptional piece of artistic musical finesse.
RATING:
5/5 rtrlctrc’s!

(the above picture was taken whilst I was half-wasted so pardon me for the flushed face and stupid grin and stupid checkered cushion)
Now, I’m ending this post with a cool picture of Liam Gallagher’s cool head of hair:

Only he can pull off such a cool hairdo! :D

1. Which is worse, loneliness or nervousness?
Nervousness, since I can deal with loneliness very well.
2. The worst book ever written?
Textbooks should count, they’re books as well. So the worst book should me my History book. I remember once my History teacher saying that the book we were using was nonsense. That is why I like the History teacher very much since I ABSOLUTE-FUCKING-LY AGREE with her.
3. Best book ever written?
Difficult, very difficult (said in a Sorting Hat sort of way). It is between the Vampire Lestat and the Vampire Armand for me. I love the innuendo in TVL, but the Vampire Armand takes the cake since it has actual sexy scenes in it. See, I’m thinking very shallowy today. So The Vampire Armand by Anne Rice is the best book every written!
4. Worst movie ever?
Jangan Pandang Belakang. The pontianak is using rollerskates! WHAT THE FUCK? Its not scary at all. Cicakman is more scary than this stupid overproduced movie, film whatever.
5. Best movie ever?
I’m going to be biased and say Interview with the Vampire. I’m sure there is other better movies than this like the Beatle’s a Hard Days’ Night, or the Monty Python’s movies, but that is all I can think of now.
6. The best year in your life?
This year since I’m going to leave the shithole of a school in a few month’s time.
7. Worst year in your life?
Don’t know, don’t care.
8. Your favorite memory to relive?
UUHHH? I feel very high and trippy now.. I cannot remember anything favourite…or remember anything memory…What am I saying again?
9. Last CD you bought?
Massive Attack’s Collected. It’s awesome, everyone should buy it. But don’t listen to it when you’re high, man… it fucks with your mind.
10. Next CD you’ll probably buy?
If there are Theatre of Tragedy albums on sale in Singapore… I’d buy every single fucking one of them, man.
11. The best dream you ever had?
Wouldn’t say it here… let’s just say that it had something to do with sucking… and fangs.. and hot people.. and nakedness.
12. The worst nightmare?
Don’t know, don’t care!
13. What is the most annoying thing on the planet?
Being ill, then getting high… it fucks with you, man… don’t do it!
14. Last time you cried?
Don’t know, don’t care.
15. What are your thoughts on therapy?
I’d love a therapy thing now, man… I sorely need it.
16. Funniest thing you’ve ever done?
I don’t know, man… I’m too fucked up to laugh now.
17. Is everyone a fake?
If I say everyone is a fake, that’d be a contradiction man… because I am a part of “everyone” right and I am no fake, damn you.
18. How many times have you lied to get your way?
I think lots of times… I don’t care to count, man.
19. Would you rather go to the library or a book store?
A book store since you can buy the fucking books there.
20. Have you ever been close to death?
I sure hope so.
21. What is the scariest thing on this earth?
If its something abstract, it’d be death.
22. What is the most beautiful?
Me! For now… meh.
23. Do you ever wonder if you’re being recorded?
Sometimes, you know.. but I’d sure burn the tapes if I ever get my hands on them, man… I don’t like being reminded of my stupidness… Hey, is that a word?
24. Who is the most annoying singer lately?
Rihanna… everyone likes her, except for moi, seems so. Her voice is sengau… eh let me put it in English. Very “nasal”. Yeah.
25. The best?
I mean, there are a lot of good singers right, but I can only think of one now, Robert Del Naja! FUCK, his voice is so sexy.
26. Is there someone you miss right now?
I don’t need anybody except for me, for now.
27. Would you rather fill out these stupid surveys or watch TV?
There’s nothing on TV now that’s why I’m doing this FFS.
OK I’m sure going to regret doing this, I mean tomorrow or something like that. Being sick and getting high fucks with me, but my mind is clear but my senses aren’t. I don’t know what I’m saying now and my head hurts too much. To hell with the typos.. ok Auf Weidersehen and muack muack.
And did this survey thing found on masterplan forum. These are my results:

I’d rather fashion myself after Secular Humanism.

This is a Lestat and Loui-ish fan art by Rusneko found on deviantART. The shackles, tight leather pants and chains are very appealing to me. Hehe. -mind goes to gutter-
And another interesting piece, I *heart* the way the crotches are bulging and the very extravagant clothing they are dressed in, very -Lestat and Louis-. lol.

This is the best song ever. Don’t mind the video if its far too morbid for you. I think this video is pretty intense to he honest. I shivered and got goosebumps when 3D’s eyes became totally black. *shiver shiver purr purr* I love the dark and seductive sound of it. The beat is very “trippy”.
Massive Attack – Butterfly Caught
Weightless falls honeysuckle
Strangers (strange this)
Lights from pages
Paper-thin thing
Protected by the naked eye
Pearly sunrise
Nearly worn
Kneeling like a supplicant
Darkened skin
Afraid to see
Radiate
Open lips
Keep smiling for me
Darkened skin
Afraid to see
Radiate
Open lips
Keep smiling for me
Weightless cool honeysuckle
Fair skin freckles
Uncut teeth
Tranquil eyes
Bite my lips
Bite my lips
Under your feet
PS: This is the 3rd time in two weeks in which I did not go to school for no apparent reason. I think… I’m just tired.
I NEED A SHRINK! SERIOUSLY!
